Candelis announces new Mercury software update
Candelis, a Newport Beach, Calif.-based healthcare IT company, has announced that an updated version of its platform software is currently available, and it includes VNA functionality.
The update, given the name Mercury, includes support for external storage, XDS support, and backup capabilities. Improvements also were made to improve the software’s productivity, according to a prepared statement from Candelis.
“We have listened to our customers and continue to innovate by delivering cost-effective solutions to meet their needs. With this upgrade, now any-sized organization can have a VNA, a functionality previously available to only hospitals with large budgets,” Tricia Buenvenida, Candelis director of marketing, said in the statement.
“As a current Candelis customer, our system automatically qualified to add the latest VNA functionality,” Craig Edwards, a PACS administrator at St. Francis Hospital in Roslyn, N.Y., said in the same statement. “We truly have a vendor-neutral solution. It can accept studies from all other vendor systems so easy integration is a given. Data exchange is painless and our hospital is incredibly organized and efficient.”
