Christopher "Kit" Crancer

Christopher (Kit) Crancer is a leader in radiology and this is driven by his passion for the patients and radiologists that serve them.  I have worked with Kit for nearly 8 years as the retired Executive Director of the Radiology Business Management Association.  From the day we began to work together Kit displayed a strong enthusiasm for leadership and providing high quality radiology with his position as Senior VP of Radiology and Public Policy at Rayus Radiology.  Kit served RBMA as Chair of the Payor Relations Committee and then moved into Board leadership and eventually served as RBMA President in 2023-24.  During his tenure in these positions Kit's passion for high quality radiology through focused public policy was displayed with the development of the Radiology Patient Action Network (RPAN).  With Kit's leadership RPAN has developed into a strong radiology grassroots network through the Don'tCutDocs.com website.  In the past 5 years RPAN has sent nearly 10,000 messages to members of Congress regarding physician payment reform. In addition, Kit has led efforts to communicate to state legislators regarding payment reform for mammography and other key radiology cancer screening issues.  As an industry leader Kit led RBMA through a key leadership transition in 2024 with the appointment of a new management team.  Kit's inspirational leadership of RBMA has helped to develop a strong young professional presence within the association and industry.  Kit continues to develop a broad coalition within radiology with his influence extending to the ACR, ASRT and beyond.  I heartily endorse Kit Crancer's nomination as a "40 Under 40" honoree.
