About the IIAs
When Radiology Business Journal established the Imaging Innovation Awards three years ago, we weren’t sure what to expect. Would radiology departments and practices enter business projects? Clinical advances? Operational efficiencies? Site improvements?
As it’s grown in the number of organizations competing each year, the program has seen a little bit in each of those categories.
The 3rd Annual IIAs are no exception. Close to 30 groups entered. That’s up from 17 our first year. (And we thought that was pretty good, given that the entry process involves plenty of writing and can take upwards of an hour.)
Stand out among the rest
After choosing a field of 10 finalists, our judges had their work cut out for them this year. They didn’t completely agree pick by pick, but they didn’t have to. The aim of the IIAs is to award five winners with equal honors. And when the five emerged from the blind voting process, the opinion was unanimous.
