China, Israel investing big in the medical imaging AI market

Reenita Das, a partner and senior vice president of healthcare and life sciences at Frost & Sullivan, wrote a new column examining the efforts being made by China and Israel to become leaders in the medical imaging artificial intelligence (AI) market. 

Calling medical imaging analysis “the bellwether application area for healthcare AI,” Das went on to highlight key investments made in both countries in the column, published online by Forbes.

“Israel is another country which, despite its size, is doing well in the AI medical image analysis field,” she wrote. “Like the U.S., Israel has probably benefited from the transfer of military advances in computer vision to medical applications.”
