Digital pathology slides on Sectra enterprise imaging system. Digital pathology is quickly becoming the third largest user of imaging data at hospitals, behind radiology and cardiology.

The UpToDate clinical decision support (CDS) software shown by Wolters Kluwer in the Microsoft booth at HIMSS23. CDS software offers immediate information to clinicians on all disease states, presentations, procedures and treatments, with links to peer-reviewed studies and the most recent guidelines for care.

An example of radiology workflow orchestration on the DICOM reading list. AI considered numerous parameters such as the expertise of a radiologist, work RVUs for all the radiologists working that day, the complexity of the read, contractual turn around times on certain studies, and priority reads marked STAT or when the AI detects a finding that raises it to the top of the list. This type of personalist work lists for each radiologist can help with burn out and cherry picking the easy exams and aid load balancing between radiologists. This was shown on the Merative enterprise imaging system.

Seamless integration of AI to analyze a pediatric brain MRI study show on the Merative enterprise imaging system at at HIMSS23. Like most PACS and enterprise imaging vendors, Merative partners with several AI companies to embed their AI directly into the radiology workflow.
