Agfa Computed Radiology Solution Receives FDA Clearance
Agfa HealthCare announced that its table-top computed radiography (CR) solution, the CR 10-X, has acquired FDA 510(k) clearance. According to Agfa HealthCare, the CR 10-X is affordable, compact, and provides small hospitals and practices an economical path from analog to digital radiology.
Designed to fit in small spaces, including mobile environments, the CR 10-X is optimized for a range of imaging exams from general radiography to orthopaedic, chiropractic and full leg/full spine (FLFS) applications. It offers high-resolution scanning of 100 µm pixels at a rate of 34 imaging plates per hour in a single-cassette feed.
Special LED technology in the erasure unit means low power consumption. With a "one screwdriver" concept and modular, component-based design, maintenance of the CR 10-X is easy, quick, and cost-effective, according to the press release.
As with all Agfa HealthCare digital imaging products, it comes with the "gold standard" MUSICA imaging processing technology, which automatically applies the appropriate image enhancement parameters independent of the exam type. The CR 10-X is compatible with existing Agfa products, with seamless integration into the NX workstation and Agfa HealthCare's SE Suite software.
