FDA Clears Calibration Software Display Combo

The Food and Drug Administration has granted 501(k) market clearance for a bundle of display and calibration software by QUBYX Software Technologies Inc. The combination of the DELL UltraSharp display and PerfectLum 3.0 DICOM calibration software demonstrates a commercial display can be used for medical purposes, according to a company press release. The PerfectLum calibration software was largely tested at the University of Pennsylvania Health System, which had successfully applied for another demonstration of the software’s latest version, based on a separate press release yesterday.
