Radiology practices with 100 years of combined history merge in Northeast
Two radiology practices with a combined 100 years of history are merging in the Northeast, leaders announced Tuesday.
Medical Park Imaging—with four decades of serving Passaic and Morris counties in New Jersey—is now becoming part of the larger Princeton Radiology. The latter provides services at 10 imaging centers and two hospitals and has been operating in the Garden State for more than 60 years.
“[MPI] shares our values of bringing empathy, compassion, and a remarkable imaging experience to the communities we serve," Jonathan Lebowitz, MD, president of Princeton Radiology, said in a statement. "We expect this integration will continue to promote those high standards."
The larger group plans to fold Medical Park Imaging’s three locations (in Wayne, Mountain Lakes and Newfoundland) under the Princeton Radiology banner. Lebowitz and colleagues said the union will provide patients and referrers in those cities with expanded access to diagnostic services and state-of-the-art equipment.
Princeton Radiology currently has offices in towns including Princeton, Mercerville, Monroe, Freehold and Marlboro. The firm employs 40 board-certified radiologists, providing the full gamut of imaging services.
