Affiliated Radiologists, a Chicago-based private radiology practice that serves the area’s Rush University Health System, has chosen McKesson Business Performance Services to meet its business reporting and benchmarking needs, the companies announced this week.

“The business reporting and benchmarking that McKesson can deliver will be enormously helpful in developing a more nuanced understanding of our business,” Sharon Byrd, MD, Affiliated Radiologists president, said in a prepared statement. “From ensuring appropriate staffing and compensation levels to measuring our financial performance against similar-sized practices, McKesson’s analytics bring previously unavailable insight to our operations and performance.”

Scott Boyd, Affiliated Radiologists business manager, said in the same statement that McKesson’s services, experience and reputation throughout Chicago all played a factor in the company’s decision.

“McKesson has the largest footprint of any billing company in Illinois,” Boyd said. “They’ve been in this market for 30-plus years and are extremely well-regarded. We felt comfortable partnering with an organization that knows the Chicago and Illinois markets intimately.”
