Carestream’s Vue Motion Universal Viewer Earns 2018 KLAS Category Leader Award

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Carestream Health earned top ratings from healthcare IT and radiology professionals for its CARESTREAM Vue Motion universal viewer, according to KLAS, an independent research organization that monitors healthcare vendor performance. With a score of 89 out of 100, KLAS named Vue Motion as the Category Leader in the Universal Viewer segment of the 2018 Best in KLAS Software & Services Report. The report will be published today.

“Carestream’s Vue Motion is very intuitive and easy to use. In fact, we have not had to train one physician,” according to one user. Another user reports that “The viewer is a light application. We just click the link, and the system pulls up the image, and we are in the patient’s chart.”

Vue Motion’s volume matching capabilities also earned praise. “If we were to scan a lumbar spine and the axial images were a little off compared to the lumbar spine images we took a few years ago, the system would do its best to match the images so they scroll together. That really facilitates a good comparison. It’s a feature we use all the time,” according to a user.*

The 2018 Best in KLAS awards are based on user scores compiled from the feedback of thousands of healthcare providers at clinics, hospitals and local, regional and national healthcare systems.

“We have found voice-of-customer feedback to be an invaluable asset in designing platforms and products. The fact that our zero-footprint Vue Motion universal viewer is rated so highly by healthcare providers is proof of our commitment to help them enhance collaboration and raise the level of patient care,” said Ludovic d’Aprea, Carestream’s Global General Manager for Healthcare Information Solutions. “The KLAS ranking is an important validation from healthcare providers that our viewer enables image and report sharing, and is designed to make critical patient images and data easily accessible to all stakeholders.”

Vue Motion is an integral part of the CARESTREAM Clinical Collaboration Platform. It image-enables an EMR by displaying DICOM and non-DICOM data side-by-side for a holistic view of the patient record. Vue Motion is FDA-cleared for clinical reading on mobile devices.

KLAS has a global reputation for accurately and impartially measuring vendor performance. The company’s reports represent the combined opinions of people from provider organizations comparing how vendors, products and/or services performed when measured against the participant’s objectives and expectations.
