Website produced by RSNA, ACR had record year in 2015

RadiologyInfo.com, a website co-produced by the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) and the American College of Radiology (ACR), announced it received more page visits in 2015—more than 11.5 million totalthan in any previous year.

“We are excited that RadiologyInfo.org continues to broaden its reach,” Ramji Rajendran, MD, PhD, co-chair of the RSNA-ACR Public Information Website Committee, said in a prepared statement. “Thanks to the combined efforts of many radiology professionals, RSNA and ACR have created an important information resource that positively impacts thousands of lives each day.”

The site was developed to help consumers make decisions about their healthcare using “easy-to-understand” explanations of a variety of imaging exams and treatments.

Geoffrey D. Rubin, MD, co-chair of the RSNA-ACR Public Information Website Committee, said these numbers come after the RSNA and ACR worked to make the site even easier to use and understand.

“We redesigned the website last year in response to user feedback concerning how complex medical topics were presented,” Rubin said. “This milestone of 11.5 million visits speaks to our success in making this information more accessible.”
