RSNA primes 2022 conference attendees for virtual participation, technical exhibits

With its 108th scientific assembly and annual meeting a little more than two weeks away, the Radiological Society of North America is encouraging attendees to experience 2022’s big show virtually—even if they’ll be there in person.

In an informational item posted Nov. 10, RSNA reminds registrants they can access virtual content either or both of two ways: through the organization’s “Meeting Central” webpage or via its meeting-specific app.

Both those routes will host live-streamed activities during the conference as well as on-demand programming through next April. And both will broadcast from technical exhibit halls and virtual exhibits as well as educational sessions.

“Virtual access to RSNA 2022 is a great way to help you balance your daily responsibilities at work and home with the important education, technology previews and networking opportunities available during the annual meeting,” says Sanjeev Bhalla, MD, the RSNA board’s education liaison. “Adding Virtual Access to your registration ensures that you will stay connected no matter how you experience the annual meeting and that you won’t miss any of the abundant and diverse sessions, especially when any number of them may conflict with your schedule.”

Hundreds of Imaging Innovations Under 1 Roof

In a separate announcement posted Nov. 10, RSNA touts the depth of technology slated for display in this year’s technical exhibit halls.

More than 600 technology vendors will be showing their wares, RSNA says, and dedicated floor spaces will host numerous showcases, mini-theaters and workshops.

Among the hot spots RSNA mentions in the item are the AI Showcase, AI Theater, 3D Printing & Mixed Reality Showcase, First-Time Exhibitor Pavilion, Recruiters Row and Educators Row.

Evidently demand has grown for virtual industry presentations at RSNA, as this year’s conference will allow registrants to access live-streamed presentations from “many of the in-person corporate symposiums and Lunch & Learns with audio and video recordings available on demand after the presentation,” RSNA says.

In addition, every presentation in the AI Theater will have available virtual slideshows and audio recordings within 12 to 24 hours after each presentation.
