Health officials launched a review of over 21,000 imaging exams after determining that numerous patients had pertinent findings fly under the radar for months. 

The award celebrates the nation’s most accomplished radiology professionals under the age of 40 (as of January 1, 2026) who are making the greatest impact across imaging. 

The Chicago-based imaging systems manufacturer said it plans to pay the purchase price in cash, believing the acquisition demonstrates its “continued commitment to cloud-enabled and AI-powered solutions.” 

The country’s largest imaging group is buying Palo Alto, California-based Cognita Imaging Inc., which was founded by scientists at Stanford University. 

The Munich, Germany-based company is doing so by transferring 30% of total shares in Siemens Healthineers over to the parent company’s stockholders. 

Medicare is finalizing a controversial “efficiency adjustment” and cuts related to practice expenses—both opposed by imaging groups earlier this year. 

Univabs took The Radiology Group to court in May after an independent arbitrator ruled TRG owed the India-based imaging firm the six-figure sum, which it refused to pay. 

GE plans to integrate DeepHealth AI solutions into its ultrasound portfolio, with RadNet also recently acquiring cloud services provider Cimar UK. 

Chicago imaging systems manufacturer GEHC said Nov. 20 it hopes to close the transaction by the first half of 2026, subject to regulatory approvals and other conditions. 

The global artifical intelligence leader collaborated with the NIH, Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, and VinBrain to create the new chain-of-thought dataset.
