Israel-based startup gets $30M in VC funds, announces chest x-ray AI

Israeli medical imaging startup Zebra Medical Vision has raised $30 million series C venture capital funds to create artificial intelligence (AI)-based tools for radiologists. At present, Zebra has raised a total of $50 million in funds.

The company also announced the development of Textray, a new AI-related product, which has been trained using two million images to identify 40 chest x-ray clinical findings, TechCrunch reports. Textray, Zebra claims, is the “most comprehensive AI research conducted on chest x-rays to date.”

The funding is led by aMoon Ventures, Aurum, Johnson & Johnson Innovation and Intermountain Health. Current investors Khosla Ventures, Nvidia, Marc Benioff, OurCrowd and Dolby Ventures also returned for the third round of funding.
