Strategic Radiology welcomes X-Ray Consultants to coalition of independent practices

Strategic Radiology announced Thursday, June 14, that South Bend, Indiana-based X-Ray Consultants has joined its coalition of private practice radiologists.

X-Ray Consultants employs 17 physicians and provides its imaging services to three area hospitals, an imaging center, a surgery center and numerous outpatient sites. The practice has been serving patients in Indiana and Michigan for more than 50 years.

“We look forward to participating in quality benchmarking, deeper subspecialization, and other practice improvements through our association with SR,” Edward L. Yang, MD, president of X-Ray Consultants, said in a prepared statement. “Our physicians view SR membership as an investment in maintaining private practice ownership in radiology and continuing to strive for greater future quality enhancement for our group.”

“We welcome X-Ray Consultants to the Strategic Radiology coalition of independent practices,” Arl Van Moore, Jr., MD, CEO and chair of Strategic Radiology, said in the same statement. “With multiple links between XRC and other SR member practices, the relationships already exist as well as a mutual respect. We know that they share our values and our commitment to quality and physician-owned and -led medicine.”
