Carestream Taking Orders for Next Generation Mobile X-ray System at AHRA
ROCHESTER, N.Y., June 20 — Carestream Health announced it will be taking orders for its CARESTREAM DRX-Revolution Nano Mobile X-ray System at the upcoming AHRA 2018 conference (Booth #721). The new system, which has received FDA clearance, uses carbon nanotube technology in a compact, lighter weight, non-motorized system that is easier to move and position in crowded ICU and NICU areas. Its compact footprint and total weight of approximately 200 pounds makes it easy to maneuver in tight spaces.
The company also will show its CARESTREAM DRX-Transportable System/Lite for the first time at AHRA; its flagship CARESTREAM DRX-Revolution Mobile X-ray System; the CARESTREAM Touch Prime XE Ultrasound System that maximizes image quality and offers an ergonomic design; and a scale model of the CARESTREAM OnSight 3D Extremity System that uses cone beam CT technology to capture 3D extremity images, including weight-bearing exams.
“Our diverse portfolio of digital imaging systems demonstrates our commitment to develop new products and technologies that address important needs voiced by radiology managers and technologists across the globe,” said Charlie Hicks, Carestream’s General Manager for Global X-ray Solutions.
• The DRX-Transportable System/Lite features a wireless tablet PC that allows imaging service providers to quickly and easily upgrade existing room or mobile CR systems to DR and provides complete control of the system and images as they are acquired. A virtual access point in the detector makes this a flexible solution that enhances workflow and its beam-sensing technology further simplifies the upgrade.
• The Carestream DRX-Revolution is designed for reliable, around-the-clock use in the ER, OR and other critical care areas. The system features an automatic collapsible column to improve visibility, a powerful dual motor drive for easy movement and a long tubehead reach for easy access to patients in crowded rooms.
• The Touch Prime XE Ultrasound System features a configurable, all-touch control panel that offers intuitive operation, high-level computing capabilities and additional premium features.
• The OnSight 3D Extremity System provides 3D images at the point of care and captures weight-bearing studies that are not possible with traditional CT. It fits easily into an exam room and delivers fast, affordable, convenient imaging for timely diagnosis and treatment.
Carestream representatives also will discuss the company’s upgraded version of its Clinical Collaboration Platform designed to both expedite and enhance radiology reporting workflow. The platform features a new rule-based Workflow Orchestrator (see video link) that first directs imaging exams to the most appropriate radiologists based on priority, subspecialty, relationships and availability.
As desired turnaround times get close, the studies are exposed to a broader group of available radiologists to satisfy service-level agreements. The Orchestrator’s workload balancing also helps ensure prompt delivery of reports to referring physicians.
