Etta Pisano named ACR’s new chief research officer

Etta Pisano, MD, has been named chief research officer of the American College of Radiology (ACR). She is the first woman to hold this position for the ACR.

Pisano previously served as the chief science officer of the ACR Center for Research and Innovation. In addition, she is the principal investigator of the Tomosynthesis Mammographic Imaging Screening Trial, a historic clinical research trial that includes nearly 165,000 women.

“Dr. Pisano is a giant in the clinical research community,” William T.
