Radiologist arrested on multiple charges after routine traffic stop
A radiologist who operates a private practice in Florida was pulled over on Jan. 29 for a routine traffic stop and arrested for multiple charges, including the illegal possession of a handgun.
Kang Lu, MD, was pulled over in Auburn, Massachusetts, after Lu allegedly made a left turn from a right-turn only lane and his license plate light was out, according to reporting by the Boston Globe. The officer on the scene allegedly found Lu in possession of a Glock 9 mm handgun, but Lu did not have an active license to carry a firearm in Massachusetts.
In addition, a woman riding in the front passenger seat of Lu’s car allegedly acknowledged that Lu paid her to have sex with him. Lu was charged with possession of a large capacity firearm and large capacity feeding device, a fourth offense of possession of a firearm without a license and engaging in sexual conduct for a fee, according to reports.
