Imaging Informatics Summit to highlight AI's impact on patient care
The American College of Radiology (ACR) has shared more information about the 2019 Imaging Informatics Summit, noting that the event is focused on the direct impact AI technologies and data can have on patient care.
The two-day event is scheduled for October 5-6 in Washington, D.C. Regina Barzilay, PhD, a professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and member of its computer science and artificial intelligence laboratory, is this year’s keynote speaker. Her presentation “will highlight the latest trends in deep learning models that use imaging, free text and structured data to advance early diagnosis, treatment and disease prevention,” according to the ACR.
Six plenary sessions on a variety of topics and a demonstration of the ACR AI-LAB are also planned for the summit. The AI-LAB demonstration will allow attendees to experiment and learn how to “modify AI without coding.”
