Atlanta-based Radiology Group adds docs, 67 new sites of service through recent acquisition

The Radiology Group LLC, a provider of on-site and telemedicine services, recently acquired Strategic Imaging Consultants, officials announced on Tuesday.

With the deal, the Atlanta-based provider is adding 67 care sites in South Carolina and Arizona that include primary care clinics and urgent care centers. Five radiologists are also coming aboard.

The Radiology Group CEO Anand Lalaji called news of the acquisition “a testament of our strong financial disposition while maintaining a focus on physician ownership and leadership.”

A spokeswoman for TRG could not provide financial details of the transaction on Tuesday. Following the deal—which closed in 2020’s fourth quarter—The Radiology Group now has a physical presence in 28 states while offering teleradiology care nationwide.

“The Radiology Group continues to seek partnerships with radiology practices who share a mutual vision of transforming healthcare through innovative and physician lead radiology practices,” the company said in an April 20 announcement.
