Radiology Partners launches AI platform with Amazon Web Services
Radiology Partners announced Monday, Nov. 27, at RSNA 2023 that it is launching a new artificial intelligence platform in concert with Amazon Web Services.
The El Segundo, California-based imaging group said its new RPX AI allows users to “seamlessly deploy” a suite of tools across any reading platform. The private equity-backed radiology company said it plans to offer the service to healthcare organizations large and small.
“Hospitals and health systems will experience an all-in-one solution for selecting, validating, implementing and scaling AI imaging tools while radiologists will experience a seamless and consistent view of AI tools in a single digital platform,” Denis Zerr, RP’s chief information and technology officer, said in the company's announcement.
RP noted that imaging AI procurement and adoption has traditionally been fragmented. This forces hospitals and practices to navigate challenges including legacy technology, operational inefficiencies and data silos. The nation’s largest radiology group said it sought to solve this challenge by teaming with AWS HealthImaging to help simplify the integration and implementation process.
