Brian Van Eck, MBA
Brian Van Eck is a distinguished leader in the field of radiology, known for his dedication, innovation, and impact on patient care. As the Chief Strategy Officer of Radiology Associates of North Texas (RANT), his days are filled with strategizing and improving the practice. Brian's commitment to excellence is evident in his academic achievements, graduating as a Distinguished Scholar in the inaugural class of the TCU Healthcare MBA program while working full-time.
Brian's professional accomplishments are impressive. He played a pivotal role in building RANT’s Independent Radiology Network (IRN), working with radiology groups across North Texas to identify areas where RANT could offer support to improve patient outcomes. Since 2019, Brian has overseen seven mergers, bringing in 75 new physicians, over 2.6 million new exams annually, and growing the overall practice revenue by 80% all while successfully maintaining cohesion as one functioning practice.
Brian also played a significant role in expanding and maintaining RANT’s teleradiology department. He regularly analyzes RANT’s physician capacity and works to identify new business opportunities for the practice. He also assisted in the creation of the official Strategic Radiology Teleradiology service that is used by several member groups.
Both the IRN and Teleradiology Department have provided RANT with the infrastructure required to increase the quality of patient care in rural areas of North Texas and throughout the nation. Both programs allow for quicker turnaround times as well as increased subspecialization in areas of Texas that otherwise would not have access to highly subspecialized care 24/7/365.
In addition to his technical expertise, Brian has demonstrated exceptional leadership skills. He has built a strong strategy team at RANT and works to improve workflow efficiencies across the practice. He has worked closely with physicians to find ways to increase productivity, successfully restructuring physician shifts to maximize efficient reading, as well as implementing various AI technologies to help increase overall efficiency.
Brian is a nationally recognized leader who has presented at conferences held by the American College of Radiology, RBMA, and Strategic Radiology. He is currently working to establish a collaborative relationship between RANT and UT Southwestern Medical Center and has begun laying the groundwork for a program with TCU designed to develop future leaders within our practice.
