ACR Seeks Clinical Reviewers For Ultrasound Accreditation Program
The American College of Radiology (ACR) is looking for clinical reviewers for its ultrasound accreditation program.
Reviewers will be responsible for reviewing and scoring ultrasound exams submitted by facilities seeking accreditation. They may also be called upon to participate in on-site surveys of accredited facilities (not more than twice every two years).
In addition to being able to select the number of sites they wish to review, reviewers will be able to set their active and inactive times in the online accreditation database. They will be compensated for their participation in the program.
Candidates must meet several criteria in order to gain acceptance in the program including board-certification and ACR membership as well as special expertise in interpreting ultrasound exams and participation in an ACR ultrasound reviewer training session. A reviewer training session has been scheduled in conjunction with the Society of Radiologists in Ultrasound (SRU) annual meeting in Chicago on October 23.
