Interventional Radiology Meeting Looks at Evidence-Based Medicine
The Society of Interventional Radiology is promising scientific advances and new discoveries at 37th Annual Scientific Meeting March 24-29 in San Francisco.
More than 5,000 scientists and health professionals are expected to attend the conference that boasts 150 exhibitors and 400 scientific presentations.
At this year’s meeting, the society plans to critically examine the scientific evidence within the specialty with an emphasis toward identifying areas that are lacking, according to a press release.
A keynote address by Carolyn Clancy, MD, director of Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) expects to cover the role of “evidence-based medicine in patient care, national research priorities and how interventional radiology can support the national research agenda,” the release states.
