Nevada Governor Signs Breast Density Law
The law will take effect on January 1, 2014, and makes Nevada the 10th state where mammography providers are legally obligated to inform patients about their breast density score.
Among those who advocated for the bill was local television news anchorwoman Wendy Damonte. Her position with Reno, Nev., CBS affiliate KTVN added visibility to the effort to pass AB 147.
She and her children stood to the right of Governor Brian Sandoval at the signing and she later reported news of the new law on the network. Click here to view the report.
