10 Residents Win Scholarships to Radiology Leadership Institute
Among the attendees of the second Radiology Leadership Institute event later this month will be ten radiology residents whose way will be paid by the ACR Foundation.
The scholarship was created as part of an ongoing effort by the ACR to establish a new generation of leaders for the field, capable of advocating for the value of advanced imaging and the role of radiology in an advanced health care delivery system. This is the first year scholarships were awarded. The inaugural recipients are:Identify key operational metrics and processes for organizational effectiveness and utilize tools to embed the “value” concept into practice management Explore effective negotiation techniques and learn strategies to maximize the potential for a deal Build and manage more effective teams to improve quality and profitability of care Manage conflict, deal with uncertainty, create opportunities for improvement and understand how team dynamics will likely shape the role of radiology in new payment systems The Scholarship Program is funded by the ACR Foundation RLI Fund through a fundraising effort launched earlier this year.
