Specialty Teleradiology attains Meaningful Use with PowerServer MU

September 18, 2014, Toronto, Ontario, Canada—Specialty Teleradiology LLC, a provider of teleradiology services based in Westlake, OH, announces that they have achieved Meaningful Use and increased operational efficiency since implementing PowerServer, a Complete Certified Ambulatory EHR-certified system developed by RamSoft.

Before implementing PowerServer MU, Specialty Teleradiology had a non MU compliant PACS and a RIS that was built in-house. As their business grew from a niche in oncology to other subspecialties, they needed a robust, single platform system that would allow them to become more efficient and achieve Meaningful Use so their radiologists could qualify for financial incentives. In June 2013, Specialty Teleradiology implemented PowerServerTele Plus MU. The new system made it easy for them to achieve MU. Because it captures only the necessary data, there are no additional clicks to the radiologists’ workflow, processes are mostly automated, and reports are generated quickly. In addition to achieving Meaningful Use, Specialty Teleradiology has since enjoyed significant benefits across its facility, such as reduced data entry, elimination of errors, and working worry-free with a real-time database backup. Also, Specialty Teleradiology clients benefit from RamSoft’s PowerServer MU as it facilitates easy access to their patient information through a web-based portal, and provides their referring physicians secure access to patients’ images and reports.

RamSoft designed PowerServerTele Plus MU specifically to help radiologists qualify for Meaningful Use and attain specified healthcare IT objectives. The system is a 100% web-based teleradiology solution that streamlines workflow and provides consistent viewing environments for radiologists.

Lisa Drazil, Vice President of Specialty Teleradiology, explains the advantages of making the move. “PowerServer Tele MU has made it simple for us to satisfy the requirements of Meaningful Use. RamSoft’s workflow automation helped us achieve Meaningful Use with minimal extra steps for our staff and zero extra clicks for our radiologists,” she says. “RamSoft’s excellent professional services guided us throughout the entire process. Their expertise and knowledge helped us to understand the complexities of the MU program, and how to overcome its challenges. RamSoft was always available for consultation from our initial registration into the program through our attestation and the audits that followed”. “By implementing RamSoft’s Complete EHR Certified PowerServerTele Plus MU, teleradiology providers can achieve MU, and receive financial reimbursements,” says Marilyn Solano, Sales and Marketing Director for RamSoft. “Our PowerServer Tele Plus MU is a complete solution for radiology groups of all sizes.”
