Toshiba helps customers go beyond XR-29 compliance with Assurance 360
TUSTIN, Calif., June 1, 2015 – Toshiba’s new Assurance 360 program is making it easier for existing CT customers to lower radiation dose, improve their CT scanners’ performance and achieve compliance with the MITA Smart Dose standard, also known as XR-29. Assurance 360 not only updates a system to XR-29 compliant but takes patient safety a step further with dose reduction technology and the training and support needed to become dose efficient.
Potential Medicare payment penalties are looming in 2016 for noncompliant scans, making it more important than ever for providers to update their equipment and feel confident they can maximize new technology. Toshiba’s Assurance 360 program is a service and support agreement that upgrades existing AquilionTM 8, 16, 32 and 64 systems to surpass XR-29 standards. More importantly, it provides a new level of system performance, protocol optimization and training, so clinicians can fully utilize the new features to lower radiation dose to patients.
“Toshiba puts customers first and is taking them beyond compliance by providing them with the support they need to lower radiation dose,” said Satrajit Misra, senior director, CT Business Unit, Toshiba. “Toshiba also understands today’s business challenges and is helping our customers lower their cost of ownership by extending the life of their systems.”
Assurance 360 applies to Aquilion systems sold before 2011, as all Toshiba CT systems delivered since then already meet XR-29 standards.
