Hospital buys remaining stake in 2 imaging centers for $5.4 million
Baton Rouge General Medical Center has bought out its partners at two diagnostic imaging centers in Baton Rouge, La., for $5.4 million. The centers are located on Dijon Drive and O’Neal Lane.
The hospital had already owned a 50% stake in the imaging centers since 2011, but purchased the remaining stake from Baton Rouge Radiology Group in a deal that was finalized on July 31.
Baton Rouge General also operates two other Baton Rouge imaging centers, one on Bluebonnet Boulevard and another on Florida Boulevard. The hospital entered into a management services agreement with Baton Rouge Radiology Group for all four centers.
“This means that physicians at Baton Rouge Radiology Group will be involved in daily operations at all four facilities, allowing for seamless coordination of radiology services,” a Baton Rouge General representative said in a statement.
Baton Rouge General is a 590-bed, two-campus hospital. It first opened in 1900.
