Mammosphere founder discusses acquisition
Mammosphere, a women’s imaging network, made headlines last month when it was acquired by Waltham, Mass.-based lifeIMAGE. The acquisition allows providers using the lifeIMAGE medical image exchange platform to easily access the Mammosphere network.
A recent feature from The Florida Times-Union took a closer look at the founder and CEO of Mammosphere, Kathryn Pearson Peyton, MD. Peyton, a radiologist, specializes in women’s imaging. She first pitched the idea of Mammosphere—a cloud-based network of breast scans—less than three years ago, and now it is rapidly building momentum. Peyton is also the wife of John Peyton, who was the mayor of Jacksonville, Fla., from 2003 to 2011.
