CIVCO announces acquisition of PCI Medical
CIVCO Medical Solutions announced this week it has acquired PCI Medical, a company that specializes in effective disinfection of heat-sensitive medical devices. No exact figures were made public.
"We are excited to expand our portfolio to include the ASTRA and GUS product lines for infection control management," Charles Klasson, CIVCO president, said in a prepared statement. "This offering fits well with our current call points in radiology, men's and women's health and infection control departments, and will help CIVCO to expand our presence in the USA."
The two companies have experience working together; for more than 10 years, CIVCO’s Multi-Modality Imaging business unit has distributed storage racks and soaking systems designed by PCI throughout the United States.
CIVCO praised PCI’s ASTRA family of devices in its statement, saying they improve the company’s reach in cardiology and will help facilities follow Joint Commission and FDA guidelines.
