Radiologist studying Egyptian pharaohs makes historical breakthrough
The work of Cairo University radiologist Sahar Saleem has led to a breakthrough in our knowledge of Egyptian Pharaoh Usimare Ramesses III.
According to a new book written by Saleem and Egyptologist Zahi Hawass, Ramesses III was assassinated by more than one individual. Previously, the belief was that the pharaoh had been killed by one person, who did it quietly and instantly, but new research by Saleem suggests he was attacked by multiple people at once.
