New Zealand actively recruiting sonographers from the UK
New Zealand is presently experiencing a significant sonographer shortage, so they’ve turned to recruiting qualified applicants from the UK. According to Australia & New Zealand Magazine, sonographers who make the move “can expect all the perks of a better quality of life as well as job variety, flexibility and potential for career development.”
“In New Zealand we’ve got a very active private and public sector, to the degree that we have more vacancies than sonographers,” said Hentie Cilliers, Sonographer Workforce Development Group chair, as quoted by Australia & New Zealand Magazine. “Sonographer vacancies range from trainee to fully experienced and we punch well above our weight in terms of technology.”
