ROS, Medic Vision reach deal for selling rights to CT equipment
Radiology Oncology Systems (ROS) has reached a multi-year agreement with Medic Vision Imaging Solutions to become the seller of Medic Vision's SafeCT-29 product line.
"I am absolutely thrilled to be able to offer an affordable solution for NEMA XR-29 compliance to thousands of clinics and hospitals in the U.S.," said Ryan Schock, VP of Imaging at ROS. "We expect this product to extend the useful life of many systems and to provide our customers with significant value over time."
The Protecting Access to Medicare Act (PAMA) requires advanced diagnostic imaging suppliers and hospitals providing CT services to ensure their equipment meets the safety requirements outlined under the National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) XR-29 Standards.
Medic Vision announced last week that Philips Medical Systems is now recommending SafeCT-29 to customers with non-compliant CT and PET/CT scanners.
"We are happy to have ROS join our team in order to address one of the top concerns of medical imaging operators today,” said Eyal Aharon, CEO of Medic Vision.
