MITA delivers statement on Senate confirming Shulkin as VA secretary
The Medical Imaging and Technology Alliance (MITA) issued a statement from Executive Director Patrick Hope on the U.S. Senate's confirmation of David Shulkin, MD, as Veteran Affairs (VA) Secretary.
“MITA congratulates David Shulkin on his confirmation as the United States Secretary of Veteran Affairs (VA)," said Hope. "We look forward to working with Secretary Shulkin in his new role to ensure that our veterans have access to the safest and most advanced medical imaging technologies.”
Shulkin will be the first nonveteran to head the department. He has served as president of Morristown Medical Center from 2010 to 2015 and as vice president of Atlantic Health System.
