Intelerad unveils imaging Infrastructure-as-a-Service platform

Montreal, Canada – November 1, 2017 – Intelerad Medical Systems™, a leader in enterprise workflow solutions, today announced the expansion of its cloud-based solution suite. The expansion includes an Imaging Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) offering that provides a complete, cloud-based imaging platform.

“With this latest offering, we are truly taking our cloud imaging platform to the next level - going beyond cloud-based storage and disaster recovery solutions to provide fully-hosted infrastructure and associated services,” said Christian Bazinet, Chief Operating Officer, Intelerad. “In addition, we are expanding the availability of our managed services beyond U.S. borders, into all the regions we currently serve.”

Simple, cost effective and complete
To reduce healthcare organizations’ costs, the latest version of the cloud imaging platform allows Intelerad clients to offload IT management, thereby reducing the need for hefty capital investment in IT infrastructure and personnel. Instead, Intelerad will design, procure and maintain on-site hardware, storage infrastructure, and security.

“With Cloud Imaging IaaS, all infrastructure fees are included in our fee-per-study model,” said Bazinet. “This allows our customers to avoid heavy expenditures and, instead, align their costs with revenue growth.”

In terms of scalability, the cloud IaaS solution provides worry-free business continuity and flexible growth by instantly scaling to meet real-time performance and storage needs. Additionally, the solution maintains 99.99% uptime, and stores client data across multiple sites to ensure business continuity and disaster recovery. Furthermore, the platform uses advanced security measures to ensure all patient healthcare information is protected.

Intelerad clients moving IT infrastructure to the cloud
Among the Intelerad clients moving their IT infrastructure to the cloud, and the pioneering client for this new platform, is Aris Radiology, a rapidly-growing organization that provides radiology services to more than 300 hospitals and health systems nationwide.

“With Intelerad’s cloud-based imaging platform, we are gaining a solution that simplifies the management of IT infrastructure, so we can focus on our core business,” said Shannon Shirk, Chief Information Officer of Aris Radiology. “In addition to being highly scalable and robust, the solution also allows radiologists to leverage an efficient workflow and ensure the highest levels of patient care.”
