Illinois medical center installs $4.9M in new imaging technology
Advocate BroMenn Medical Center in Normal, Illinois, has installed $4.9 million in new imaging equipment with a focus on improving the overall patient experience and reducing radiation dose.
The new equipment includes an open bore MRI system and a 128-slice CT scanner, according to a report in The Pantagraph.
“We're getting to definitive diagnoses more quickly, which is very important to our patients,” Brenda Downen, Advocate BroMenn’s director of imaging services, said, as quoted in The Pantagraph. “We're avoiding unnecessary procedures because of better imaging, which is pretty incredible.”
