University of Calgary researchers develop portable imaging system for visualizing concussions
A team of researchers from the University of Calgary has developed a new portable brain imaging system that can visualize lingering damage caused by concussions.
Jeff Dunn, PhD, of the University of Calgary’s department of radiology, says this new system can measure communication in the brain by measuring oxygen levels in blood,” according to a new report from the Ottawa Citizen.
A team of doctors plans to test out the system for an upcoming study at the Alberta Children’s Hospital.
