Bracco files patent complaint against Jubilant for rubidium-82 generators
Imaging giant Bracco Diagnostics has filed a complaint with the U.S. International Trade Commission against Jubilant DraxImage, a Canadian radiopharmaceutical firm, requesting the ITC halt imports of Jubilant’s Ruby-Fill rubidium-82 generators and related components.
Bracco’s patent complaint alleges violations of the Tariff Act of 1930, according to the paperwork, and includes a request for a cease and desist order that would bar any distribution of Ruby-Fill systems and generators that have already been imported to the U.S.
The company also asked the ITC to impose a bond on the allegedly infringed-upon products, which would prohibit sales during the complaint’s 60-day review period.
In addition to Jubilant DraxImage, which is based in Canada, Bracco Diagnostics is lodging complaints against the company’s Indian and Singaporean affiliates—Jubilant Life Sciences and Jubilant Pharma, respectively.
The public has been welcomed to file comments pertaining to the complaint.
