Geoffrey Roche, EdD
Geoffrey Roche, EdD, serves a lot of key roles in the imaging space. He is the director of workforce development in North America for Siemens Healthineers. But that only hints at the full scope of his contributions. He also serves as:
- Executive advisor to the national healthcare practice at Core Education Services, a public benefit corporation with a mission to support small and mid-sized institutions through innovative shared services;
- Partner at Product10x, a startup accelerator co-creating enterprise SaaS startups with a focus on deep tech and product-led growth;
- Adjunct faculty member at Pacific College of Health and Science, where he led the development of a new curriculum in nursing with a focus on healthcare policy, social justice and ethics; and
- Commissioner at the Commission for Nurse Reimbursement.
In a recent interview with Geoffrey in the American Journal of Healthcare Strategy piece, he makes a strong case for healthcare apprenticeships, advocates for work-based learning, promotes the creation of sustainable talent pipelines and, last but not least, justifies the rise of the medical imaging assistant.
Geoffrey’s nominator says he “understands the complexity of the healthcare workforce landscape and is continuously promoting ideas and examples that will increase access to education and training opportunities—especially for those who have historically encountered significant barriers.”
