The Los Angeles-based imaging center operator issued a statement Tuesday, disputing the ruling and highlighting plans to fight it in court. 

This is the first major production site for the company's DryCool technology, which drastically reduces the amount of helium required for magnetic resonance imaging. 

Attorney Tom Greeson criticized the American College of Emergency Physicians for supporting the ban, believing it “weakens their membership,” and urged ACR and the RBMA to do the opposite. 
 

Currently, such rights—to a fair process before termination, restriction or reduction of professional activities—are not offered to all physicians. 

"Everyone in charge at our institution thinks the female residents are 'whiny.' We are told to keep our heads down and not cause problems."

The college voiced its concerns in comments recently submitted to the Senate Finance Committee, which held a hearing on doc pay reform. 

“The RRA supports the goals for optimal access to radiology services for all patients and for alleviating increasing workloads," the college said. 

Numerous hospitals are grappling with unfilled positions and exam backlogs, Michigan Hospital Association CEO Brian Peters told the Detroit News.
