Radiologist to deliver presentation on value-based care at UCAOA convention

Konica Minolta Healthcare announced Thursday, May 3, that it is sponsoring a presentation by radiologist Pradeep Albert, MD, at the 2018 Spring Urgent Care Association of America (UCAOA) Convention & Expo May 7 in Las Vegas. Albert currently serves both as an academic radiologist in New York and the president of the International Society of Regenerative Medicine.

The session, “Increasing Patient Satisfaction, Throughput and Revenue with Imaging Services,” will be an “interactive discussion” focused on improving the quality and efficiency of patient care.

“As the U.S. healthcare system continues the transition to value-based care, physicians and administrators are seeking solutions that both enhance clinical care and provide operational efficiencies,” Kirsten Doerfert, senior vice president of marketing, for Konica Minolta Healthcare, said in a prepared statement. “Freestanding urgent care centers are one of the fastest growing segments in healthcare delivery and are an increasingly popular alternative to hospitals and emergency rooms for patients. Konica Minolta is committed to supporting educational initiatives through the UCAOA to help urgent care centers meet this growing demand for convenient and effective immediate care.”

More information on the convention is available on the UCAOA website.
