Ambra Health to offer cloud-based medical imaging platform in Japan
Ambra Health has reached an agreement with MC Healthcare, a medical distributor and subsidiary of the Mitsubishi Corporation, to offer a cloud-based medical imaging platform in Japan.
The platform from New York-based Ambra Health includes PACS and a cloud VNA. It has been localized for the Japanese market by achieving Act on the Protection of Personal Information compliance and offering a user interface in Japanese.
"In Japan, performing efficient medical care is critical to reducing high costs. Hospitals in particular can act as a leader in this area, and are expected to have secure and efficient technology, including image management. Ambra provides a way to securely exchange patient information and allow for regional collaborations," said Osamu Miyashita, CEO of MC Healthcare, in a prepared statement. "MC Healthcare will continue to contribute to improving medical services by using Ambra's imaging solutions for Japanese hospitals where efficiency and quality improvement are key initiatives," he added.
The platform is currently being used in mammography vans to upload images to the cloud to improve efficiency and reducing time-to-care delivery.
