Apollo PACS announces name change

Apollo PACS has announced that it is changing its name to Apollo Enterprise Imaging Corp.

Mark Newburger, Apollo president and CEO, said in a prepared statement that the name is a better reflection of the company’s diverse products.

“Because PACS connotes department specific DICOM image management and Apollo EPMM spans all imaging departments across the enterprise, we realized the term PACS in our corporate identity was misleading,” Newburger said. “The Apollo EPMM solution does much more than typical PACS, including capture, viewing and storage of non-DICOM clinical multimedia in its native format.”

Apollo will be at the HIMSS Annual Conference in Las Vegas, demonstrating its products from Booth #651.
