SIIM News: Fujifilm Demos Latest PACS, RIS and VNA
To get the attention of Society for Imaging Informatics in Medicine (SIIM) attendees, Stamford, Conn.-based Fujifilm Medical demonstrated its latest version of Synapse PACs and Synapse RIS at the conference in Grapevine-Dallas, Texas, from June 6-9.
According to the company, the cool thing about version 4.2 of its Synapse PACS is the system’s advancements in radiologist productivity for mammography, cross sectional reading and teleradiology. In addition, Fujifilm will be showing off new Synapse RIS features and how the RIS and PACS integrate “seamlessly.”
Newer productivity-enhancing features include:
- Template-based protocoling of studies for radiologists
- Configurable page layout based on user role
- Urgent findings for providing closed-loop communications
- Over exposure alerts from the built-in dose management tools
- A universal work list that combines disparate systems
