ACRIN Chair Mitchell Schnall Elected to IOM
Mitchell D. Schnall has been elected as member of the Institute of Medicine (IOM), along with five other professors from the University of Pennsylvania.
Schnall is the Eugene P. Pendergrass Professor of Radiology, and the Chair of the Radiology Department, Perelman School of Medicine. He served as Deputy Chair of the American College of Radiology Imaging Network (ACRIN) from 1999-2007, and in 2008 became ACRIN Chair. He is also a member of the American Society for Clinical Investigation and the Association of American Physicians.
The newly elected members raise IOM's total active membership to 1,732 and the number of foreign associates to 112. With an additional 84 members holding emeritus status, IOM's total membership is 1,928.
