Foundation Radiology Scores $6 Million Credit Line

Foundation Radiology Group, a Pittsburgh-based practice that serves hospitals in the Northeast, Eastern Midwest and East Coast region of the United States, has obtained a $6 million credit from Square 1 Bank, a commercial banker specializing in helping entrepreneurs and venture capitalists. Details on exactly what Foundation Radiology will do with the credit line were not disclosed, but Tom Skelton, CEO of Foundation Radiology Group, alluded to their targeting of community hospitals who need teleradiology services in his comments in the press release. "The strong, consistent support of our partners at Square 1 is a key component of our programmatic support of community hospitals as they position themselves to meet the clinical quality and patient satisfaction demands of healthcare reform," he stated. In addition, last month, Dicom Systems, a Campbell, Calif., company that develops solutions for teleradiology interoperability, announced that Foundation Radiology Group had joined its list of clients.
