Radia Names Hinger Chief Administrative Officer
Radia, one of the largest private radiology and vascular practices in the Pacific Northwest, today announced the appointment of Ward Hinger as chief administrative officer. In his new role, Hinger will work with physicians and executive staff to develop overall strategies and achieve Radia’s operational goals, as well as to conceive of and drive growth initiatives while prioritizing a high caliber of patient care.
Headquartered in Everett, Wash., Radia offers diagnostic imaging, interventional radiology, and vascular surgery at multiple hospital-based and freestanding locations throughout the state of Washington. Its services range from CT, MRI, PET-CT, and nuclear medicine to pain management, dental imaging, ultrasound, bone density scans, echocardiography, breast MRI, and teleradiology. The provider’s newest facility, freestanding facility, Everett Radia Imaging Center, is slated to open in Redmond on March 21.
Hinger most recently served as Special Assistant to Alaska Governor Sean Parnell, providing help in stabilizing key departments within the state’s executive branch. Prior to joining Governor Parnell’s staff, he served as Western Area Manager for Diagnostic Health Corporation, where he played a key role in developing unity and cohesion among physicians and support staff as well as streamlining workflow, creating strong morale, providing outstanding customer service, and increasing the profitability of the provider’s outpatient imaging centers.
Before moving to the private sector, Hinger spent 20 years with Air Force Medical Services. As such, he collaborated with physician groups and played a major role in building relationships with providers and developing the infrastructure necessary to support a complex health system, according to Radia President Rich Satre.
As CAO, Ward Hinger will work with physicians and executive staff to develop overall strategy, help develop and drive growth initiatives and achieve Radia’s operational goals while ensuring that patient care always comes first.
Mr. Hinger states, “I am thrilled to be part of the Radia team! Radia’s reputation for providing exceptional patient-centered care and their collaborative yet innovative approach to serving referring physicians extends well beyond Washington’s borders. It is a pleasure to bring synergy to Radia’s continued efforts aimed at delighting both patients and referring physicians.” “I am very pleased with Ward Hinger’s decision to join Radia. He brings multi-faceted experience in the healthcare field. His strong collaborative leadership and management qualifications will be a great asset to this company. Radia’s entrepreneurial spirit and wealth of opportunities excited him and he will certainly strengthen our ability to make those opportunities become realities.”
