52 technologists, radiation therapists receive ASRT grants

The American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT) has announced 52 recipients of grants designed to support the professional and educational advancement of technologists and radiation therapists.

As a part of the ASRT Foundation’s Advancing Your Profession: Education and Professional Growth Grants program, each recipient will receive up to $500 to help pay for educational courses, conferences, certification exams or society membership expenses. The recipients were chosen for their answers to one essay question: “How does acquiring and maintaining certification improve patient care?”

“Acquiring and maintaining my own certifications means I am doing the best I can for my patients who rely on me for quality diagnostic images,” wrote one recipient, Kimberly Alt of Grass Valley, California. “Having these certifications behind me means I am proving my worth and expertise to someone in need.”

The full list of recipients is available on the ASRT website.
