DenseBreast-info.org announces international expansion

DenseBreast-info.org, a New York-based organization focused on educating both patients and healthcare professionals about the importance of breast density, announced it is expanding internationally.

The planned expansion is planned for October 2018 and includes Europe “and neighboring countries.”

“We are thrilled to expand this website to the European clinical community and help educate on this very important issue,” Wendie Berg, MD, PhD, the organization’s chief scientific advisor, said in a prepared statement.

Athina Vourtsis, MD, PhD, director and founder of Diagnostic Mammography Center in Athens, Greece, is lined up to serve as a European liaison for DenseBreast-info.org. Along with Cheryl Cruwys, who will be the organization’s European education coordinator, she will help develop international content.
